Add to that the serene atmosphere, local hospitality and wellness options, and you have a winter sports destination with character, far away from the masses but rich in quality and nature experiences. The ski area has approximately 43 kilometres of groomed slopes and is very family-friendly.
The Schladming-Dachstein region, with approximately 230 kilometres of groomed slopes, is part of the large Ski Amade ski area. The ski area above Schladming, the 4-Berge-Skischaukel, can be reached in just 30 minutes by car. Thanks to its favourable location and excellent snow conditions, an early start to the winter season is guaranteed. 84 modern gondolas and chairlifts and 100 traditional ski huts await you throughout the winter. For those seeking an extra adrenaline rush, there are six different fun slopes. The Crosspark on the Reiteralm treats daredevils to a spectacular route that ends with a jump over a mountain hut, while in Superpark Planai the obstacles vary from easy to challenging and leave nothing to be desired. It is no coincidence that the famous night slalom takes place here every January.
In summer, there is plenty to do in and around Wörschach, including extensive walking and cycling routes. In addition, the Wörschachklamm is a spectacular gorge where you can walk over wooden scaffolding and stairs past waterfalls and rock formations. From the gorge, you can take a pleasant circular walk to the ruins of Burg Wolkenstein, with beautiful views over the Ennstal. For those who want to combine relaxation and nature, the walk to the Spechtensee via the gorge is wonderful. At the lake, you can relax, walk around the water or even cool off with a refreshing foot bath or swim (in summer, the water can be relatively warm). Golf courses can be found in Weißenbach/Liezen, approximately 15 minutes' drive away, and in Bad Aussee, approximately 30 minutes' drive away.
