The well known ski area of Zillertal Arena (Hochkrimml - Königleiten - Gerlos - Zell am Ziller) is by car, as well as by ski bus, located at only 15 minutes driving. The family ski area of Wildkogel Arena (Neukirchen - Bramberg) is located at only 5 minutes away. On top of that, also the ski area of Kitzbüheler Alpen is located at about 15 minutes away. The ski areas are perfectly fit for cross country skiing, winter hiking, tobogganing and other winter entertainment. Apres ski is possible directly at the slopes of Königsleiten or in one of the restaurants or cafés in Wald.

In summer, the area located on the edge of National Park Höhe Tauern is perfectly suited for all kinds of outdoor sports, such as hiking, cycling and MTB. A daytrip to the Krimmler waterfalls is also a good option, being located only 5km from Wald. Wald also has an own public swimming pool with outdoor pool and sauna. Inbetween Neukirchen and Wald you will find a challenging climbing park for all ages. In Bramberg, you can decend the mountain by mountaincart, going from the top station to the middle station of the ski lift, and in Neukirchen you can enjoy the „Rutschenweg,“ a beautiful hike with several slides varying from easy till spectacular levels. The chalet has been built in 2002 and offers enough space for up to 6 people. The chalet is built in a typical Alpine style, being fitted with a kachelofen and wooden ceiling. The spacious kitchen is equipped with all neccesities needed to prepare a fantastic dinner. From the living room you have access to the large balcony from which you can enjoy the sun and the stunning views of the Austrian alps. At the lower level, 2 bedrooms can be found, and the third room which now is also being used as bedroom. The chalet is being offered for sale including all furniture. Next to the chalet, the carport offers a dry and covered place to park your car, making snow plowing in the morning obsolete. The chalet has been well equipped: there is a ski shoe warmer and the chalet is being heated by electric underfloor heating.
